The Georgia Kings Basketball Program is designed to make the young men and women strong Christian disciples of Jesus Christ. The program will focus primarily on three things:
1. Spiritual Development
2. Academic Development and Support through tutoring on reading, language arts, math, and science with particular emphasis on test taking skills.
3. Basketball Skills Development by emphasizing the fundamentals basketball and participating in basketball games in local, state and national Youth Basketball of America and Amateur Athletic Union tournaments throughout the spring and summer.
The Georgia Kings Basketball Program is an intense 21 week program designed to challenge the participants into developing a full awareness of their Kingship in the Kingdom of God. This program will encompass three parts: Spiritual Development, Academic Development, and Basketball Skills Development. During the weekly Spiritual Development Program, the participants will study the Bible and discuss practical ways to use their God given gifts and talents to promote their ministry. The participants will learn that the purpose of life is to glorify God in all aspects of life. The Weekly Academic Development Program will focus on three key components, monitoring student’s weekly progress and tutoring until school releases for the summer; test taking skills and practical learning for the real world as taught by guest speakers. The Basketball Skills Development Program will focus on three areas: team work and relationship development; basic basketball fundamentals development; and successful participation in high level competition in various travel basketball tournaments.

Spiritual Development Program
Participants will study the Bible and discuss practical ways to use their God given gifts and talents to promote their ministry. The participants will learn that the purpose of life is to glorify God in all aspects of life by developing a personal relationship with God.
The Georgia Kings Spiritual Development Program will assist young men with real world solutions to challenges they face in everyday life by having bi-weekly discussions.
Academic Development Program
All Georgia Kings participants will be required to provide their coach with progress reports bi-weekly and reports cards as they are issued. All players must maintain satisfactory grades. If grades are not satisfactory, the player will not be allowed to play. Tutoring is available to all Georgia Kings participants on an as needed basis.
Team Work & Relationship Development
To achieve success in life on a large scale, a person must master two fundamental skills: Team Work and Relationship Development. The Georgia Kings program will use the game of basketball to teach and hone these critical skills for the young men that participate in the program by teaching character development through instilling the YMCA’s 4 values of Caring; Honesty, Respect, and responsibility.
Sponsorships, Donations & Fundraising
Financial stability is critical to the success of any organization; therefore the Georgia Kings Program will strive to maximize its financial stability by pursuing an aggressive Sponsorships, Donations and Fundraising Campaign.
